This Dollywood Perk Would Solve a HUGE Disney World Ride Problem

There are A LOT of things Disney World and Dollywood do differently — some things Disney does better, and others Dollywood does better.

Dollywood!

From snacks to rides to hotels, there are a lot of offerings between these two popular theme parks. But Dollywood does better on one thing that we think Disney should take note of and start doing!

We’ve all been there — either as a child or as a parent of a child — where you have to get measured at the start of an attraction to see if you’re tall enough to ride. And you have to do it at EVERY. SINGLE. RIDE.

But the thing is, you actually don’t have to get checked at every ride in Dollywood — you only have to do it once! You can be measured right at the start of the day, so you don’t have to worry about doing it at every ride!

You’re probably wondering how this works — do you get measured and remember certain numbers to tell the hosts at each attraction? The answer to that question is no — that would just be too much thinking on your vacation! What you actually get is a colored wristband that shows the hosts whether you’re tall enough or not to ride an attraction.

After you enter the park, you’ll find the Centralized Measuring station on your left-hand side past the Dollywood Emporium gift shop. Here, a Dollywood host will measure your child and give them a color-coded wristband that shows which rides they’re tall enough for.

This way, you won’t have to take time out of your day to stop at the front of every attraction line to be measured — they can just flash their wristband at the hosts, and they’ll be good to go (as long as they’re tall enough to ride!) The colors on the wristband correspond to the height measurement chart.

But in Disney World, children have to stop at the front of every attraction to get their height checked, which not only could be a hassle or cause a tantrum, but it also could take valuable time out of your day. And that’s why we think Disney should take a page out of Dollywood’s book with this timesaver (see what I did there?)

  1. Dollywood SUCKS. It’s not even a theme park. It’s nothing but a run down hillbilly carnival. Lol 😂
