One of our favorite events of the year – EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts – is BACK! The 2026 edition of the fest, which began on January 16th and runs through February 23rd, features all the art, snacks, performances, and events we’ve come to adore since it began back in 2017.
One of the highlights is the Once Upon A Stage: The Magic of DISNEY ON BROADWAY exhibit, located in EPCOT’s central Communicore Hall. This celebration of Disney’s Broadway shows, which allows guests to get up close and personal with authentic props and costumes, as well as learn behind-the-scenes insights as they explore the artistry of beloved stage productions—like “The Lion King,” “Aladdin”, and “Beauty and the Beast” – from 9 AM to 9 PM each festival day.
During the first day of the Festival of the Arts, we had the chance to explore the exhibit, and at first glance, we were in love!
The display features a variety of costumes and props, like the iconic puppets from “The Lion King.”
Backstage roles like stage managers even got some love, with a portion of the exhibit dedicated to everything they do to keep full-on Broadway productions running smoothly. JP works on stage productions herself, so she loved getting a chance to see some of the equipment.
There are some interactive elements too, like seeing the famous genie lamp.
Here’s a look at some of the costumes from “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” as well as “Newsies.” The details are so incredible!
