It has been a couple of days FULL of announcements about what is coming to Disney World in 2026. Disney announced opening and closing timelines, dates for special events, and even when you will be able to meet Bluey at Disney World!
While expansions like Piston Peak National Park, Pueblo Esperanza, and the new Monsters, Inc. land will still be under construction, there is a lot to look forward to at Disney World in 2026. To make everything a bit easier, we are rounding up the biggest announcements from Disney, so you know what is coming in 2026!
Closing Timeline Announced for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Disney announced that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be open until spring 2026 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney hasn’t given an exact closing date yet, just the general timeframe of being open until spring 2026. The ride will be rethemed to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, which is expected to open in summer 2026.

Opening Timeline Revealed for 2 Magic Kingdom Attractions
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom have been undergoing lengthy refurbishments. We were already expecting both attractions to reopen in 2026, but now Disney has confirmed that both rides will reopen in spring 2026!

Opening Timeline for ” The Magic of Disney Animation”
Later in summer 2026, “The Magic of Disney Animation” will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This reinvented area, which used to be the Animation Courtyard, will allow guests to enter the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Animated characters will come to life, guests will be invited to draw, and explore the “Drawn to Wonderland” playground.

A New Show Is Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In summer 2026, “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will debut in Hollywood Studios! This new show will encourage kids to get on their feet and dance with Mickey and Minnie as they embark on a road trip to find some of their friends. Even Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto will be there!

Disney previously shared that the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff audio-animatronics would be getting updates! Frozen Ever After will temporarily close for refurbishment on January 26th, 2026, and reopen in February 2026 with updated figures!

Soarin’ Around the World will be changed to Soarin’ Across America, as a part of “Disney Celebrates America,” a company-wide celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The ride will now take riders across new scenic vistas across America. The changes will officially take off at Disney World by Memorial Day 2026!

The 2026 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will begin on March 4th and run through June 1st, 2026. During the festival, you can enjoy gorgeous topiaries, delicious food and drink, the Garden Rocks Concert Series, and so much more!

Bluey Is Coming to Disney World
Beginning summer 2026, you’ll be able to play and dance with Bluey and Bingo at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The new experience will take place at the Conservation Station, which you can reach by taking the Wildlife Express train. The experience will feature Bluey, Bingo, and some of the show’s fun games!

Opening Timeline for Level 99 at Disney Springs
LEVEL99 will be opening in Disney Springs in 2026. Disney hasn’t announced an exact date yet, but we will let you know as soon as we have more details. LEVEL99 is a social gaming experience that combines physical and mental challenges. The space will be 45,000 square feet and feature over 60 challenge rooms and a two-story bar.
