Disney just revealed the opening timelines for two popular rides that have been closed for MONTHS.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom have been closed for some hefty changes and upgrades, but we won’t have to wait too much longer to see them!
Disney World just released a slate of important dates for visitors coming to the parks in 2026. In that news drop, we learned that both rides will reopen in spring 2026!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed since January 2025, and we’ve missed it! However, when it reopens, it’ll be a different ride with Rainbow Caverns and a newly built track.
Over in Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will remain the same interactive ride fans love, but it’ll have some upgrades! From new ride vehicles to improved targets and even a brand new character, we can’t wait to see it all.
