BREAKING: Disney World Reports Over 30 Ride CLOSURES in Major Outage

In an unexpected development, a combination of indoor and outdoor attractions in Disney World are temporarily closed, according to the My Disney Experience app.

On the evening of August 29th, Disney World notified guests via the My Disney Experience app that several rides across the property are “Temporarily Closed.” The closures were reported around 5 PM, and over 30 attractions are still closed at this time.

UPDATE: A Guest Relations Cast Member confirmed that operations returned to normal at 6 PM.

As of 5:45 PM, 32 attractions are closed in Disney World, including rides and shows at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.

There are currently 62 attractions in Disney World that should be running, and 32 are marked closed due to a power outage, according to a Disney World Cast Member.

When we spoke to a Cast Member, they confirmed there was a power outage, but stated that they don’t know anything else, and there have been no other confirmations at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Both Monorails are closed as well.
