Wait...Is Disney Getting Rid of this ICONIC Part of Hollywood Studios?

Disney World has been dropping some HUGE news recently, including some big changes coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We recently said goodbye to Muppets Courtyard as construction for a new Monsters, Inc. land gets built in its place. But another part of Hollywood Studios is changing, too: Animation Courtyard is being converted into The Walt Disney Studios, and Star Wars Launch Bay will become “The Magic of Disney Animation.” However, we noticed something in the concept art released for this new section of the park: something BIG is missing.

Disney World is transforming Star Wars Launch Bay into “The Magic of Disney Animation,” where Disney’s animation can be experienced with interactive elements, a new Alice in Wonderland playground, character greeting, and more. The area around Star Wars Launch Bay, which is currently Animation Courtyard, will become “The Walt Disney Studios,” with buildings taking inspiration from the ACTUAL Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Disney even dropped some concept art for this reimagined part of the park.

However, when we were staring at this concept art, we realized something HUGE was missing. There’s a big archway in front of this area that currently says Disney’s Hollywood Studios and leads into this area. This is what it looks like:

But if you look at the concept art, you’ll notice that this arch is nowhere to be seen. Now, this IS just concept art, and this could change in future versions of this concept art, but it does seem like Disney might be removing this iconic feature of Hollywood Studios.
