Why Every Disney Adult Is Marking August 29th in Their Calendars

We may still be months away from August, but trust us, with how much is going on in Disney World this month, you’ll want to prepare well in advance.

August kicks off the Halloween season in Disney World, but that’s far from all! If you’re planning to be in the parks in late August, more specifically on August 29th, here’s why you’ll want to prepare yourself ahead of time!

In Disney World, there are THREE big events that will be happening on August 29th. First, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will have one of its parties in Magic Kingdom that night, so while it’s not the first night of the event, the park will close early for non-party guests!

However, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will have just begun the day prior, and the beginning of EPCOT Festivals is typically pretty wild! This is especially true with this festival, as it’s often the largest and most popular one of the year. If you’re planning to head to EPCOT, you’ll want to prepare yourself for those crowds!

The biggest part of August 29th, though, is happening at one of Disney World’s hotels — Destination D23 is coming to Coronado Springs Resort this year, and guess what day it kicks off? That’s right — August 29th! Disney fans from all over the country (and some from different parts of the world!) will descend upon the resort to hear all the latest and greatest Disney announcements throughout the weekend. We look forward to being there in person to hear all the exciting news and then pass it directly to you!

If you’re visiting Orlando as a whole, you won’t want to forget about what’s going on over at Universal Orlando Resort. If you really want to embrace the spooky season and get scared, Halloween Horror Nights ALSO kicks off August 29th!

Halloween Horror Nights

Now, this is very different from Disney World’s Halloween events, which are made to be family-friendly. Halloween Horror Nights is no joke, it’s for those who TRULY want to be scared as they travel through the many scare zones and haunted houses. For those who live for that, though, you’ll want to grab your tickets before they’re gone!

If you don’t already have your tickets for the parks or for any of these events just yet, you’ll want to grab them ASAP before it’s too late!
