4 Ways to Skip the Lines at Orlando Airport

One of the worst parts of any Disney World vacation is when you have to leave to go home. Whether you were at Disney World for a day or a few weeks, it is always a bit sad to have to leave.

If you choose to fly to Disney World, chances are you might be flying out of the Orlando International Airport. It is the busiest airport in the area, so you will likely be facing more lines on your trek back home. We are here with some tips to make those lines less scary!

And you thought you were done with standing in lines at Disney World! The good news is that we are sharing four ways you can skip some of the lines at the Orlando International Airport.

Check-In Online

Depending on your airline and whether you are bringing checked bags, you might be able to check in online and skip the check-in lines when you arrive at the airport. If you aren’t checking any bags and have your boarding pass on your phone, you can head straight to security. Lines can get long to check-in for your flight, so ensure you arrive with plenty of time to make it to your gate!

Breeze Through Security

Your next stop at the airport is security. On crowded days, the lines for security at Orlando Airport can get LONG, but we have a few ways you can skip the lines!  First, a FREE way to skip the security line. Using MCO Reserve, you can pre-register for a time slot to go through security. When you get there, you will have an exclusive line that is usually much shorter!

You can also purchase a Clear Plus membership. For $199 per year, you can access the Clear Lanes at Orlando International Airport, which will help you get through security quicker. You can sign up online beforehand or talk to a Clear employee at the airport.

Finally, you can also sign up for TSA PreCheck. You must do so in advance and complete enrollment in person, including getting your fingerprints taken. Once you are enrolled, though, you can access shorter lines and an easier screening process.  This service has an enrollment fee, and you will also need to pay to renew your PreCheck status. However, some credit cards and loyalty programs may cover the application fee.

Now that we have made it through security and know where our gate is, we have some time to spare. It has been a bit of a journey, and we could use some food to fuel our trip. The bad news? There are some long lines to get food.

We have been skipping lines up to this point, so let’s skip some more lines. You can place a mobile order at the airport to skip those lines! While you won’t be able to mobile order everywhere, there are some places where you can use this hack to skip lines, including McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Dunkin’. Download their app and place a mobile order, and you will have your order in no time. You can also use the Grab app to mobile order from Harvest & Grounds or Raw Juice.

Board Your Flight Earlier

If you are an airline member with a certain number of miles, you might be able to board your flight earlier. If you travel a lot, it could be beneficial to stick with one airline so you can rack up loyalty with that airline. When you have more loyalty points, you could receive a variety of benefits from free checked bags to getting to board the airplane before others. Before you travel, make sure you know about any benefits you can take advantage of with your loyalty status.
