We’re just a few days away from the start of another festival in EPCOT!
The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off on January 17th and runs until February 24th, 2025. This year, the festival will be bringing back its artsy activities, delicious eats, and stellar entertainment…and we can’t wait! But if you’re visiting the park before the festival kicks off, you may notice some weird things in EPCOT.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays ended a few days ago, and the time in the park between festivals can often be a little bit weird. Usually, we find random construction walls, rogue merchandise tents, and mixed signage around the park.
And it looks like this time is no different! During a recent visit, we spotted a random wall up near World Showcase. It was blocking a pretty large area, so of course, we were quite curious! Is Disney building something new?
Turns out, Disney put up this wall to hide the Scentsy display leftover from the Festival of the Holidays. Since the festival has ended, we’ve got to conceal the evidence! 😂 Can’t let the people know that sometimes it takes a few extra days to take everything down. (Is it giving anyone else the vibes that Disney just kinda threw a big white sheet over the display and told us to look away?)
The “Festive Fragrances” display was new to the Festival of the Holidays this year, but we’ve seen similar offerings at the Flower & Garden Festival. We wonder now what Disney will do with this space for the Festival of the Arts!
Typically, the Festival of the Arts comes with a variety of fun displays, including some interactive art. We love checking out the paint-by-numbers wall or snapping a photo with the 3-D chalk art in World Showcase Plaza. Quite a few new offerings are going to be going up around the park in the coming days, so we’ll be on the lookout!
