This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things In Disney's Hollywood Studios Anymore

One of the things that really sets Disney World restaurants apart are their incredible details.

We’re not just talking about details in a restaurant’s decor (although those are generally incredible). We’re talking about those additional little things that goes above and beyond to make that feeling of immersion even greater for visitors. However, sometimes it’s those little details that are taken advantage of the most, and now one cool restaurant detail has disappeared.

Let’s head over to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to visit Roundup Rodeo BBQ, where you get shrunk down to the size of a toy to dine on some delicious backyard barbecue foods and revel in all the fun details inside the restaurant.

This place is SO much fun AND you even have to freeze when you hear “Andy’s coming!” over the speakers. The food ain’t half bad either (you can read reviews of Roundup Rodeo BBQ here).

One of our favorite details about this restaurant, though, is what happens when you pay for your meal. When you pay your check, you WERE given a GIGANTIC pencil to sign it with (and yes, it was hard to sign with it, but it was also hilarious and fun trying).

Well, this pencil is no longer handed to you when you receive your check. We’re not sure why, but we do recall a similar instance of the sporks at Docking Bay 7 literally being taken home by guests (which is why you don’t get those anymore with your meal). However, you can occasionally buy the sporks, so will these gigantic pencils eventually become something we can purchase?

We’re not sure, but if you visit Roundup Rodeo BBQ in the future, don’t be disappointed when you don’t see this fun detail when you get your check.
