What Is Disneyland 90s Nite and When Do Tickets Go on Sale?

Even though a new year is on the horizon, we’re going back in time!

Disneyland recently released its full event lineup for 2025 and with over a dozen already in store, we’re in for a busy year! However, one announcement has received a lot of buzz and that’s the return of Disneyland 90s Nite. So what’s included? When do tickets go on sale? We’re going to answer your biggest questions!

In 2019, Disneyland debuted a new After Dark event called 90s Nite. It was a hit but hasn’t returned since. Last year, the park hosted a Disney Channel Nite, however, that is NOT returning in 2025. In its place, is the return of 90s Nite!

What Is Disneyland After Dark: 90s Nite?

Disneyland 90s Nite is a Disneyland After Dark event meaning it happens after regular park hours. This is not included in regular park admission and you will need to purchase a separate ticket. Yes, you get to stay inside Disneyland after everyone else leaves — it’s as cool as it sounds!

Nostalgia is huge these days, and Disney knows it. So they’ve brought back this event that will transport visitors back to the 1990s. Disney says there will be “fun festivities honoring music, movies, food, fashion and other fads that defined the decade.”

The highlights of these events are the entertainment and characters. Here’s what you can expect in 2025!

Get into the groove of your favorite 90s tunes with this high-energy dance party hosted by a DJ—taking place at Rivers of America!
Jump into Disneyland nostalgia as we highlight some of our favorite parades of the 90s along the Disneyland Parade Route.
Dance the night away on Tomorrowland Terrace and get “jiggy” featuring Max, dressed for a Powerline concert, and Goofy in this exclusive 90s dance party!
Get nostalgic at the Golden Horseshoe and sing along to your favorite 90s tunes.
See Disney Characters from Disney Afternoon and some of your favorite 90s Disney movies.

Many of the attractions in the park will be open, though Disney has not released a list just yet. Some rides close early before the event is officially over so keep that in mind.

That’s not all! You’ll also be able to check out special eats at restaurants around the park, exclusive merchandise collections, complimentary keepsakes, and themed photo ops. Oh, and Disney encourages you to dress up in your 90s best! Just make sure it follows Disneyland’s rules.

When Is 90s Nite?

90s Nite takes place on two nights only — March 4th and 6th, 2025. Since demand is high, it can be difficult to snag tickets.

The event runs from 9PM to 1AM and ticketholders can enter the park as early as 6PM to get a head start on the fun. You do not need to create a Park Pass Reservation if you are entering at that time or later.

When do tickets go on sale?

Now that you know what this special event is all about, it’s time to decide if you’ll try to buy tickets! The date you need to mark in your calendar for this depends on if you have a Magic Key and what type it is.

Here’s the breakdown of who can buy tickets and when:

December 10th: Inspire Key holders
December 11th: Inspire, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine Key holders
December 12th: General Public

Disney will begin sales no earlier than 9AM PST each day that tickets are sold. For those of you who have to wait until December 12th to buy tickets, don’t worry. Disney is reserving a small number of tickets for the first two days of sales so it shouldn’t sell out before the 12th. There is usually a virtual queue in place for these ticket drops.

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets for Disneyland 90s Nite cost $149 per person. Unfortunately, there are no discounts available for this event.

It’s important to note that parking fees are not included in the ticket price. Also, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is not available at this event…but you won’t need it! Ride wait times are much lower during after hours events.
