The Secret To Waiting Only 5 Minutes to Meet the 2 Most Popular Characters in Disney World

Character meet and greets are fun for both kids and the kids at heart. 

The problem with character meet and greets is that the lines to meet your favorite characters can be super long. It can be a bummer to have to wait in a long line to meet characters when that time could be spent doing other things around the parks. One way to combat this is to book a character meal. This is the perfect two-in-one solution; you get to dine, and the characters come to you. But there is actually a secret way to meet two popular characters with little to no wait hiding inside of EPCOT.

You can now meet Mickey and his friends over at CommuniCore Hall, which opened in June. This area of the park officially marked the completion of the EPCOT transformation. While it can be nice to wait in just one line to meet Mickey and the gang, the line can still be long. 

Disney Visa Cardmembers get a lot of great perks by being a Cardmember. Besides the discounts in and outside of the parks, Cardmembers have a special meet and greet spot located inside of EPCOT!

The Photo Spot is located in the Imagination Pavilion, near the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. Cardmembers simply present their Visa Card to enter the meet-and-greet spot. 

Emma recently stopped by and was able to meet Mickey and Goofy in under five minutes! This perk can save you so much time, and this meet-and-greet is more private. 

Characters rotate out, so you never know who you might meet. You can go back throughout the day to see who is there. The PhotoSpot is open from 1 PM to 6:30 PM each day. For updated hours, make sure to check the calendar located in the My Disney Experience app.

Not only do Disney Visa Cardholders get a private meet-and-greet experience, but they also get free digital downloads of all the photos taken during this experience. Plus, it is not only EPCOT that has this special experience, but you can also find a photo opportunity in Hollywood Studios.

Disney Visa Cardmembers can head over to Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard to present their Disney Visa Card for a Star Wars photo opportunity. 

The only character that meets here is Darth Vader, which is pretty cool since you won’t see him out in Galaxy’s Edge. This experience also comes with free digital downloads and is open each day from 11 AM to 4 PM. As always, remember to double-check the My Disney Experience app for an up-to-date schedule.
