The One HUGE Problem With the NEW Single Rider Line in Disney World

If you are looking to join the resistance, but don’t feel like waiting in a hours long line at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, we have some exciting news!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been an extremely popular attraction since it opened in 2019. However, we recently spotted something that may allow you to experience this attraction with a lower wait!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has just started testing a single rider line. When we spoke with a Cast Member, they said that they are currently just testing the single sider sine over the next few weeks to see how it works and get feedback on it.

However, while you may be able to get on the ride with a shorter wait, the Cast Member we spoke with says the single rider line will skip all of the pre-shows and you will be taken straight to where you are being sat down for the ride.

A huge part of Rise of the Resistance happens during the pre-shows so if it is your very first time riding it, we would probably recommend avoiding the single rider line. However, if you are okay with skipping the pre-shows or have already ridden the ride, the single rider line could be a great way to get on the ride quicker!

Rise of the Resistance usually boasts one of the highest wait times in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the addition of a single rider line could mean a shorter wait if you are willing to ride without your party. However, there is no guarantees that choosing the single rider line will mean a shorter wait, and you will be missing out on the pre-shows.

Currently in Hollywood Studios, you can also find single rider lines at both Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. You can also find single rider lines at Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Test Track also used to have a single rider line, but the attraction is currently undergoing refurbishment.

We have seen Disney World test single rider lines at other attractions in the past including Soarin’ Around the World in EPCOT, so we will be curious to see if the line sticks around at Rise of the Resistance.

Rides that offer single rider lines use the single riders to fill in spaces on the ride vehicles. You won’t be able to sit with your party and you won’t have the option to request a specific row or seat. However, they can be a great way to experience some attractions with a potential lower wait.
