Can you believe it? Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open to the public SOON in Magic Kingdom.

We’ve been following the ride’s construction progress since Splash Mountain closed and work on the new attraction began. Now, the ride is in early previews, with select Disney World visitors getting a chance to check it out. Now, Disney World Annual Passholders can preview the ride, but they’ll have to sign up for a virtual queue to do so. We’re going to tell you how that works.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Previews for Annual Passholders run on June 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th. Virtual queues will open at 7AM and 1PM. The first thing you’ll need is a park pass reservation for Magic Kingdom on the day you plan on grabbing a virtual queue. Those reservations are currently gone for Passholders, so you won’t be able to get into Magic Kingdom without one.

To grab a spot in the virtual queue, you’ll want to be sure to log in to the My Disney Experience app. You’ll want to be logged in at exactly 7AM and 1PM to try and grab a spot. You’ll also want to be fast — virtual queue spots will go fast. If you do manage to get a spot, you’ll be assigned a boarding group — when it’s time for you to get in line for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you’ll receive a notification from the My Disney Experience app to get in line. With that being said, you’ll want to make sure you have your phone set to where the app can give you notifications.

On the morning of June 13th, the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened for the ride’s first AP preview day… Â and frankly, were quite surprised at how things played out!

At 7:00AM the virtual queue opened… and didn’t fill up nearly as fast as we thought it would. In fact, as late as 7:40 there was still an option to join the queue.

We think maybe some Passholders who had been able to book a Magic Kingdom Park Pass for the 13th did so without being sure if they could actually get out to the park today, and perhaps were unable/unwilling to join the queue at 7:00AM. Interestingly, despite the virtual queue not being full, we were unable to modify a Park Pass from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom.

By the time the park was open the virtual queue was closed, presumably full, though Tiana’s had yet to begin boarding any Boarding Groups as of 9:30AM.

The delay in calling boarding groups further highlights the fact that the ride is still in the early previews stage, meaning that this is Disney’s opportunity to iron out any issues with the ride. We’ve already seen the ride closed during previous early previews, so you might want to give yourself some flexibility if you land a boarding group time because all might not go off without a hitch.
