We love Disney World parties! Don’t you?!
At any given time of the year, there seems to be another one popping up that we can look forward to like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Jollywood Nights, and Mickey’s Very Mery Christmas Party to name a few. Thinking about those parties got us reminiscing about other Disney World parties we used to enjoy. Let’s talk about two of them that we feel need to make a comeback!
So, a long time ago in a galaxy…Once upon a time… Let’s start over. So, a while back Disney World used to have some pretty epic dessert parties. We’re talking about the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party and the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. What were they? I’m glad you asked. Let’s dive in.Â
The Star Wars Dessert Party really was a dream come true for fans of the franchise. Picture this: An exclusive gathering with delectable treats and prime views of the nighttime spectacular.
It was an opportunity to immerse oneself in the Star Wars universe surrounded by fellow enthusiasts and indulging in themed desserts that delighted taste buds and sparked conversations about favorite characters and moments.
Of course, in order for this party to return, we would need to see a return of Hollywood Studios’ nighttime spectacular — Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Bring it back, Disney!
Then there was the Frozen Dessert Party, which was a dream for Frozen fans! Like the Star Wars Dessert Party, this one was an exclusive gathering filled with Frozen-themed desserts, snacks, beverages, and a reserved viewing of Illuminations.
Also, following the finale, you were guided to the Norway pavilion where you gained VIP access to ride Frozen Ever After! Was there any better way to step into the world of Arendelle than through food and camaraderie?
Sadly, both parties have been gone since the pandemic-related closures four years ago. However, we believe it’s high time to bring them back! With both franchises constantly gaining in popularity and new entries being announced, it feels like the right time to announce a revival of these experiences.Â
Honestly, the return of the Star Wars and Frozen Dessert Parties would not only delight visitors but also add a much-needed layer of excitement to the Disney World experience. Are you with us?

Did not go to the Frozen party. The Star Wars one was excellent. But you MISSED the GREATEST $99 party. THE VILLAINS event at Hollywood Studios. It was offered for SIX weekends. And then again the next year or so later. BEST. DISNEY. EVENT. EVER.
We did the Star Wars dessert party once. Loved the food and we got a really cool take home cup (Boba Fett I believe). The only thing I did t like was that it was standing only – there were tables like at the Epcot festival but no seating.
No, but my family always wanted to try the Frozen Dessert Package. Not only did you get themed desserts with a view of Illuminations, but also exclusive ride time at Frozen Ever After!
