A NEW Character Meet and Greet Is Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

A lot is happening in Disney World this summer.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening in Magic Kingdom. Animal Kingdom will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Lion King. You’ll be able to catch a new Encanto show at EPCOT for a limited time. But that’s not all because a current character meet and greet will be changing locations.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios didn’t want to get left out of the action, so a NEW character meet and greet is coming to the park: Joy from Inside Out. Now this character isn’t new to Disney World, but she usually meets people over at EPCOT.

However, Joy is headed to Pixar Plaza in Hollywood Studios on June 10th, just in time for the premiere of Inside Out 2, which arrives in theaters on June 14th.

So you’ll want to keep an eye out for her, especially if she’s on your character priority list. You’ll be able to find times to meet her on the My Disney Experience app.

We do have to note that the Disney World website for Joy’s EPCOT meet and greet says the following: “During the exciting transformation of EPCOT, Meet Joy has temporarily relocated. Please check the park map on this page for the new location.” This could mean that she could move back to EPCOT at some point, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
