We’re seeing more updates at the Bayou!

It feels like we have been waiting for so long to see the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. While we’re not quite there yet — we have gotten some sneak peeks from Imagineering, seen some construction updates, and even got some updates to the construction walls bordering the attraction. As we get closer to the opening timeline, we are keeping a very close eye on what we can see of the ride — and we just saw some NEW changes!

Disney Vacation Planner

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a log flume ride that takes guests through what happens as the gang from The Princess and The Frog as they search for the missing ingredient that Princess Tiana needs for her recipe. You will take an adventure throughout the Bayou, and meet some new friends along the way. This entire experience culminates in a Mardi Gras party!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

We can’t wait to finally be able to experience this ride, and we just saw some new changes happening to the queue and surrounding areas that make us feel like we’re almost there.

We LOVE seeing water back in this flume!

If you’re taking a look down into the queue from the Frontierland Train Station, you can get a GREAT view of how construction is looking in the queue. Well, we’ve been keeping a close eye on what’s happening here — and we just noticed a NEW change!

The new magnolia trees!

They have been working on the entrance queue, and have officially planted some magnolia trees! We know that these are just trees, but to us, they feel like a possible finishing touch that they added as they finish up the queue area.

Now, we will go to some outside areas of the ride. We decided to check out the former Briar Patch Shop, and we saw some MORE changes.

No more displays!

The windows have been covered with scrim, and the shop has officially been closed off. Before, they had some window displays and you could walk towards the doors (but not inside).

We’re excited to see these changes happen and be able to see the queue take shape in real-time. We kind of feel like these could be the start of them adding finishing touches — but only time will tell.
