We Have News About This Weekend at Disney World, and You Might Be Surprised

Back when the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival ran through the entire summer, the AllEars staff lovingly nicknamed the event the “Fire and Bees Festival.” Listen, in the dead of summer, when you’re standing in line at a food booth in the World Showcase, the beaming rays of the blistering sun can feel especially HOT.

But we haven’t quite reached summer yet. In fact, we’re in the middle of spring break — and we’re seeing crowds, delays, and warnings all over the place. While spring break is on the brain, our senses are a little confused. It’s going to be HOT in Orlando this weekend, and we’re not sure we’re ready for summer quite yet. The last thing we need is the return of the Fire and Bees Festival right now.

Like it or not, the weather is changing. Look out for temperatures that are “warmer than normal,” according to Click Orlando. Just how warm are we talking, though?

It’s going to be HOT

On Friday, March 15th, through Sunday, March 17th, expect highs in the upper 80s in the Orlando area. In fact, we may see NEW record-high temperatures in Orlando. The highs are floating around 1–3 degrees of the current records, according to Click Orlando.

If you’re not from Florida, you might think, “Temperatures in the 80s sounds GREAT!” but keep in mind that when you’re walking around in Disney World (often without much shade), it can start to feel uncomfortably hot and FAST. Plus, Florida has a little extra humidity to deal with.

Are you ready for summer?

When the weather starts looking HOT, make sure to plan accordingly! Pack a portable fan, a cooling towel, and lots of cool clothing. There’s nothing worse than walking around in a hot, sweaty outfit. Trust us.

Pack cool clothing!
