Two RARE Characters Have Made an Appearance in Disney World

Two celebrities have arrived in Disney World, but it won’t be easy to find them.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Over at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge you can often find characters from the beloved Star Wars franchise greeting guests or perhaps even interrogating guests to find out if they’re supporters of the First Order. But on March 1st, something truly unique happened that caused the crowds to really descend on Hollywood Studios!

March 1st marked the debut of Season 3 of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and with it came the appearance of The Mandalorian himself and Grogu (a.k.a. Baby Yoda) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We had seen this pair at Disneyland before, but this was the first time they traveled over to Disney World, and fans were pumped.

The Mandalorian appeared, carrying Grogu, over near the Marketplace and it was PACKED. Basically, the walk we saw him do takes the Mandalorian and Grogu from just outside the entrance to the Marketplace to a spot right before Ronto Roasters. The whole thing lasted less than 10 minutes and there were no “official” times for his appearance, so you’ll want to hang around the area to see when he’ll pop up.

Fans were swarming around the duo, trying to snap a selfie with or even just a photo from far away of the Mandalorian and the Baby.

The Mandalorian speaks a few words so listen closely, and you may also hear Grogu move around, speak, and look over at Mando and at you.

Yes, he’s as precious as he looks.

Truly, the scene that they caused made it feel like 2 epic celebrities had descended upon Hollywood Studios.

Given that some of this area can already be congested, you will want to be prepared for serious crowds whenever the Mandalorian walks through.

It’s unclear whether this was a limited-time appearance in celebration of Season 3’s release or if this duo will continue to appear at Hollywood Studios in the coming days or weeks, so be sure to ask a Cast Member for details during your trip. One Cast Member indicated that they had not been told officially whether the appearance would extend beyond today.

UPDATE: According to Scott Gustin via Twitter, Disney has indicated that The Mandalorian and Grogu “will make regular appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World — joining other regular characters in the land. It’s not a ‘limited time’ offering.”
