What Disney World Looks Like During a Holiday Week

The holiday season is typically one of the busiest times of the year at Disney World, as many families are on work or school vacation and have the time to travel.

And it’s already getting quite people-y in the parks, and it’s only gonna get busier, the closer we get to the holiday weekend!

November 21st

Well, it looks like we don’t have to wonder any longer because the crowds have officially arrived. Magic Kingdom has been full of lines, crowds, more lines, and more crowds!

Crowds on November 21st

With Thanksgiving this week, it looks like more families took the opportunity to visit Disney World. On November 21st in Fantasyland, the crowds wrapped around the Mad Tea Party.

The crowds also extended into the New Fantasyland area.

We noticed crowding in Tomorrowland as well. Earlier in the week, this is what the crowds looked like just outside the main entrance to Tomorrowland Speedway. The crowds continued down to the restroom area and outside Auntie Gravity’s.

The standby line for Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor extended almost to Tomorrowland Terrace, and the line for Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover was also queued up and intermingling with the Astro Orbiter line. And as you can see, wait times were pretty high on November 21st!

November 22nd

Things seemed a little quieter on November 22nd in Magic Kingdom, with less congested crowding on Main Street, U.S.A. Note that Magic Kingdom closed at 6PM that day as a result of a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party night.

The Emporium, which is usually a busy shopping destination, wasn’t crowded either!

Although wait times weren’t terrible in Magic Kingdom, which is pretty typical on party days, the other parks were a different story. Around 2PM, several rides had over two-hour waits in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

What about Wednesday? Well, things were still busy at Magic Kingdom! We stopped by, and the lines at the Transportation & Ticket Center in the morning were LONG.

Look at those monorail crowds!

But that was nothing compared to Main Street, U.S.A. It was packed there!

Look at all those people!

Definitely not low-key.

Things were pretty busy in the various lands of the park as well. The crowds were mostly concentrated around the major rides.

Even the PeopleMover had a line stretching out into the walkway!
