PHOTOS: EPCOT Shop Evacuated After Fire Alarm

Let’s say you’re shopping at Disney World and a fire alarm suddenly goes off inside the store.

What does that look like? What should you do? Well, we got a good lesson in fire alarm procedures and evacuation this morning at one shop at EPCOT.

We were visiting Creations Shop this morning when the fire alarm inside the store went off. All guests were evacuated from the building in an orderly fashion.

Then the store’s managers did a roll call to make sure all Cast Members were present and accounted for.

If you ever find yourself in a fire alarm, remember that the most important thing you can do is remain calm and listen to Cast Members — they will instruct you on evacuation procedures and tell you exactly what to do. Follow their instructions and you’ll be just fine.

These things do happen often at Disney World, so it’s always a good idea to make sure you’re paying attention to Cast Members as soon as alarms begin to sound. Your safety is their priority.
