VIDEO: Listen to a Preview of the Music for Magic Kingdom's New Fireworks Show

Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration is less than a month away, and we’re getting excited.

The 50th Anniversary is going to be here before we know it!

As part of Disney World’s 50th anniversary, a new fireworks show called Disney Enchantment will debut at Magic Kingdom on October 1st. Disney previously announced the new original song for the nighttime spectacular, and we got another preview today!

If you’ve ever seen a Disney World fireworks show, you might remember truly feeling the Disney magic as everyone around you sways to the music while the night sky is lit up with fireworks. Many Disney World shows and parades use an original song along with classic Disney music, and the original song for Disney Enchantment is called “You Are the Magic,” by Grammy Award winner Philip Lawrence.

Philip Lawrence actually began his career as a Disney World Cast Member, performing in “Festival of the Lion King” and “Tarzan Rocks!” He eventually went on to collaborate with Bruno Mars and received 18 Grammy nominations and won 7 Grammy Awards. Lawrence performs the original song with Kayla Alvarez, who also happens to be a former Disney World Cast Member.

Disney Enchantment will feature fireworks, classic Disney music, and even lights and projections from Cinderella Castle to Main Street, U.S.A. “You Are the Magic” will remind you to look within and believe in yourself, because you can make your dreams come true.

We won’t get to hear the full version of “You Are the Magic” until it debuts along with Disney Enchantment on October 1st, but Disney has posted a YouTube video of a clip of the song as Lawrence and Alvarez perform with a full orchestra.
