Will Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Reopen as Planned?

It’s been over a year since Disney World reopened with additional health and safety measures and we’re still waiting on a few more hotels to welcome guests once again.

But, we won’t have to wait too much longer until all of the Disney World Resorts are available, as opening dates have been announced for the remaining six resorts including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, and the remaining All-Star Resorts. However, could it be possible that one actually won’t reopen on time as planned?

Here at AllEars, we like to bring you the latest on what it’s like to stay in Disney World Resorts as they reopen, so we had booked a stay at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort for its opening day from September 16th to 17th. But, today we noticed that the reservation had disappeared from our plans in My Disney Experience.

With our reservation seemingly canceled, we checked to see if we had received an email or call from Disney notifying us of the change, but nothing has arrived quite yet.

Disney’s website is still showing Preferred Room and Family Suite availability for September 16th that can be booked right now…

…and Disney’s Know Before You Go Resort page still lists September 16th as the opening date. So, our missing reservation could just be a glitch in the system.

Update: One of our team members was able to speak with a Cast Member at Disney World about this reservation issue. The Cast Member confirmed that the reservation (which was from September 16th to September 17th) is still active in Disney’s reservation system. The Cast Member noted that our reservation likely went missing from My Disney Experience due to a technical glitch.

  1. I believe it will open as promised. It will be the fallback for guests that adjust their expenses due to all the price increases, lobbed at them. And Disney is sitting on this resort to save the option to guide those who would cancel the whole trip, and suggest savings at a value resort to combat the costs they manufactured in the first place.

  2. I have a reservation for January, I know, much further out. However, I’ve had no communication from Disney via email or otherwise.

  3. Disney called today and said told me that certain rooms at the All Star Music between September through January need to moved. We have a reservation for October so they upgraded from our standard room at All Star Music to a family suite at Art of Animation. We are beyond thrilled!

  4. my reservations for October are still showing in MDE. I’ve heard of others that were moved from AS Music to AOA in September. I called Disney yesterday and the CM hadn’t heard anything about the opening moving to December. Guess we just need to hold on and see what’s happening.
