PHOTOS: This Magic Kingdom Update is Subtle But VERY Cool!

Disney’s Magic Kingdom has been undergoing quite a few refurbishments leading up to the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebrations!

There are some big projects, like some fancy additions to Cinderella Castle and a completely new look for one of the sweetest shops on Main Street, U.S.A. But, there are also some smaller projects like an update to the Peter Pan’s Flight entrance sign. And, today we got a peek at a little project that is making a big impact in Tomorrowland!

Last week, we spotted construction walls around the Cool Ship snack kiosk in Tomorrowland near Space Mountain. We weren’t sure exactly what Disney was planning to do behind the walls, that is…until today… .

This was at the end of March…

Cool Ship is looking even cooler with some updates to its color!

The back end of the kiosk has received a fresh paint of the vibrant blue color…

…and almost all of the beams are now black instead of space grey! There are still some construction walls blocking the area, as Disney finishes up the refurbishment.

Plus some awesome accents

Cool Ship has remained closed since the parks reopened, but we are looking forward to when it returns with the refreshing mist that sprays from the kiosk to cool off guests on hot days! We will continue to keep our eyes peeled for any updates so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
