Disney Branded Television Leadership Changes Could Mean Good News for Original Movies!

We’ve seen a lot of shifting around recently in the Walt Disney Company as far as job titles go.

Cast Members have retired, been promoted, and switched departments quite a bit so far this year, and we’ve been keeping up with all the big changes. Today, another employee has received a promotion, and this one could mean good things for Disney movies!

Lauren Kisilevsky was formerly the Vice President of original movies at Disney Channel but has now been promoted to Senior Vice President of original movies at Disney Branded Television. According to Deadline, her new role will include overseeing the production of a slate of new movies for Disney Channel as well as Disney+.


Deadline reports that during her time working specifically at Disney Channel, Kisilevsky oversaw the production of a variety of films, such as Upside-Down Magic, Descendants 3, Zombies 2, and the upcoming movie, Spin. She also worked on Secret Society of Second Born Royals and the upcoming Sneakerella for Disney+.
