Walt Disney World Resort hotels have some truly unique pools! And while lots of factors can help you decide which hotel you want to call “home,” if you’re looking to spend a lot of time outside the parks, the pools can be a really important feature.

We couldn’t help it: we had to rank our top ten Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools!
10. Copper Creek Springs Pool: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
There’s no doubt that this pool has some beautiful views, but did you know the pool is heated and has both hot and cold whirpool spas?

For the kids, there’s a splash zone and a 67-foot-long waterslide. Plus, if anyone in your family gets hungry, Geyser Point Bar & Grill is just a short walk away!
9. Luna Park Pool: Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
The theming on this pool is top-notch. Step into an amusement park in the 1920s, and take a ride on the recently refurbished waterslide that’s over 200 feet long!

There’s fun for everyone here: you’ve got a whirlpool spa for adults and a kiddie pool for little ones! Plus, you can relax even more with a walk on the BoardWalk nearby.
8. Uzima Springs Pool: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
This 11,000 square foot tropical oasis offers something no other Disney pool can: a view of the animals! The pool faces the Uzima Savanna, where you might spot giraffes, gazelle, and more.

The nearby Samawati Springs Pool is also a great option for guests at this resort.
7. Beach Pool: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
This pool offers a view of Seven Seas Lagoon! There’s also cascading waterfalls and zero-depth entry.

Nearby is an Alice in Wonderland-themed splash zone for kids! If this area gets a bit too noisy, the Grand Floridian’s Courtyard Pool offers a calmer option. In fact, most resorts have designated “quiet pools” away from the chaos.
6. Lava Pool: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
This pool features an iconic, towering volcano and a 142-foot-long waterslide! There’s also a splash play area for little ones, so your entire family can enjoy this spot!

Nearby, you can get eats and drinks at Barefoot Pool Bar or Pineapple Lanai — where you can find Dole Whips!
5. Doubloon Lagoon: Port Orleans — French Quarter
Doubloon Lagoon has an incredible theme: guests will jump right into Mardi Gras! There’s an iconic blue sea serpent waterslide named Scales, and Mardi Gras decorations abound.

4. Big Blue Pool: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
The Big Blue Pool is the single largest hotel pool in Disney World — and it’s at a Value Resort!

It’s Finding Nemo-themed with a Nemo playground right next door.
3. Lost City of Cibola Pool: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
We’ve got even more fun theming at the Lost City of Cibola Pool: Mayan ruins! A 50-foot pyramid overlooks the area, and there’s a 123-foot waterslide featuring a spitting Jaguar spirit animal. Kids will love getting sprayed with water on their way down.

Next door at the Dig Site is the largest hot tub on Disney property. There’s room for 22 people in there!
2. Fuentes del Morro Pool: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
This pool is a big adventure! It’s themed like a colonial Spanish fortress, with two waterslides and a bunch of water cannons. There’s also a 12-person spa.

All of the interactive activities at this pool make it super fun for kids!
1. Stormalong Bay: Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
Is there any doubt that Stormalong Bay ranks #1? It’s basically a water park in a resort. We’ve got a sand-bottomed pool, a lazy river, one of the highest hotel waterslides (230 feet!), and three whirlpool spas.

You should note that pool hopping is not allowed at Disney, so if you want access to Stormalong Bay, you’d have to stay at Disney’s Yacht or Beach Club Resorts (or be a DVC member — pool hopping privileges!!).

WDW has some restrictions on DVC member pool hopping and some of the resorts do not allow it. I’m pretty sure Stormalong Bay and the Poly pools DO NOT allow pool hopping. Kind of a bummer.
I don’t agree that restricting pool access to resort guests is a bummer at all. I think it would be completely inappropriate not to restrict that access. Guests at deluxe resorts pay a real premium and the rate of return for that is going down further and further. Therefore, the exclusivity and lack of crowding of what would be a popular pool area is vitally important. Absent such restrictions, stormalong Bay would become potentially absolute chaos.
