Level Up With These Walt Disney World Toy Story Mania Secrets!

Toy Story Mania isn’t your average Disney ride. Located in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, you step right into Andy’s toy box on this attraction! You are thrown into an immersive 3D experience, playing through games set up by Woody and the rest of the toys from Toy Story!

Though the games are the same every time you ride, practice makes perfect on this competition-style ride!

And if you’ve ever finished the ride and looked at the ranking screen to see that the weekly high score of Toy Story Mania is at least DOUBLE what you’ve been able to score? Well, we’ve got the tips you need to take your game to the next level!

Pie Throwing Practice Booth

After you board the ride vehicle in Andy’s room you’re off to the races! The first game that you stop in front of is a practice round. In the Pie Throwing Booth, you can aim at the targets that Toy Story characters are holding.

This is a great time to practice aiming, but don’t go crazy shooting just yet! Save all your forearm power for the rounds that count for points.

Hamm & Eggs

The first game for points is Hamm & Eggs which is an egg throw game featuring Hamm and Buttercup from Toy Story 3. The screen is set up like a farm and there is a barn in the top corner. That’s where you’re going to need to focus to start racking up points!

The secret to the game is hitting all of the animals in the barn and “flipping” it as many times as possible. There will be a horse, a chicken, and a mouse running around the barn. Get all three and the barn flips over! Each time you flip the barn the points on all the other animals in the game go up for more high scoring points!

Rex and Trixie’s Dino Darts

The next game is full of balloon popping in a dino-land. There are TONS of balloons to pop, but only a few should be your focus if you want to unlock high scores!

A few seconds into the game three long 500 point lava balloons will fill up in front of the volcano. Pop all three!

Here’s where having a partner is really important — a comet will appear in the top corner of each side of the screen. BOTH partners need to hit the comet three times to erupt the volcano and unlock TONS of clusters of 500-point balloons!

Green Army Men Shoot Camp

In the Green Army Men Shoot Camp game, you finally get the chance to smash plates with no cleanup! But that doesn’t make this game easy by any means. It might be the hardest one to unlock higher scores!

Throughout the game, a 2,000 point plate will pop up on each side of the dirt mountain. Each partner needs to have good aim and break the plate on their side. It requires some pretty accurate shooting but once you do, the mountain in the middle will go away and a tank will appear with even more high-scoring plates!

Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers

Now, this next one takes some coordination because it’s a mix of Whack-A-Mole and ring tossers! You and your partner will want to come in with a plan on how to get rings around all the little green aliens from Toy Story!

In order to unlock a higher score in Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers game, you and your partner need to work together to cover ALL of the aliens in the rocket ship at the SAME TIME.  They can pop back up pretty quickly, so you’ll have to move fast!

Once all of the aliens are down at the same time, the rocket ship will launch away and reveal a giant robot. Shoot as many rings into the mouth as possible — it’s only open for a few seconds! To reactivate the robot, each player must toss a ring over the rockets found on each side of the screen.

Each time you reactivate the robot the points will increase from 100 to 500 to 1,000 and finally to 2,000!

Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery

The last game on Toy Story Mania has three parts and spans over multiple screens — you just keep shooting! Jessie and Woody put together a game full of LOTS of bullseyes!

Shootin’ Gallery

When you start the game, you’ll see bullseyes all over the screen. Hitting the bullseye opens up MORE bullseyes. Work with your partner to open up the bullseyes and then CLOSE the same ones. Each time you open and close one, the points will go up across the board!

Mine Cars

After passing through a few screens of the bullseyes, you’ll finish at the last screen with four lanes of falling mine cars. It becomes more of a single-player game here, and this is where you can really rack up the points and take home the winning crown!

As the mine cars roll toward you, be sure to hit EVERY mine car that you can before it goes over the mountain. But don’t miss the bats that fall down from the top of the screen over the cars! Hitting the bats will make the mine cars worth more points!

Bonus Round

Now you’re at the last round — and it’s a bonus round! Time to tire your forearms to the point of exhaustion and hit the large bullseye that appears on your screen as many times as possible. The point value of the bullseye will increase each time that you hit it so don’t slow down!

If you did it right, your forearms might be sore by now! But bragging rights are all yours!
