Today we will be looking at the attractions in Animal Kingdom and what your favorite says about you. Let’s have some fun!

Kilimanjaro Safari

Let’s start with the key attraction at Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safari. The Safari  is the largest attraction in Animal Kingdom and is usually what people think of when they think of the Park. It’s a great way to observe animals in good approximations of their natural habitat and learn about them and their habits.

If this is your favorite ride you probably like to sit back and observe the people around you. Do you find yourself people watching for long periods of time? If you like gathering data while watching others and always have an interesting tidbit ready to share with friends, then you’ve got a lot in common with the Safaris. Much like the animals on the Safari, it’s probably rare to see you out and about at night. When the sun goes down you are ready to go home and have some dinner until you have to go back out again.

Avatar Flight of Passage

Flight of Passage is the most popular ride in Animal Kingdom and is one of the main draws for most guests. It is an immersive adventure through (or rather, over) Pandora, home of the Na’vi. You fly on the back of a Banshee and scream out the Na’vi word Sivako, which means “rise to the challenge.”

If Flight of Passage is your favorite, then you are someone who rises to the challenge. You charge headfirst into adventure and don’t always look before you leap. You would feel at home riding on the back of a speeding motorcycle or hang-gliding in Fiji. We’d bet you even have a catchphrase or battle call that you scream as you leap into your latest excursion.

Dinosaur

Hello, there! If you heard that in Dr. Seeker’s iconic voice, then Dinosaur is your favorite ride. Dinosaur is a ride in an all terrain time machine into the age of dinosaurs. While you’re in the past, you search for a specific species to help a paleontologist named Dr. Seeker, but along the way you narrowly escape a giant carnivore.

If Dinosaur is your favorite attraction, you probably love all things from the past. You watch movies from a simpler time and collect antiques. When you go shopping, you prefer used and vintage things, items with a story to tell. And you also don’t mind a few puns peppered in to add color to your everyday life. You may sometimes think you’re not going to make it, but don’t worry we know you always pull through!

Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest is the biggest thrill ride in Animal Kingdom. You can spot Everest from almost every part of the park, and you can hear the screams from the riders going down the tracks at high speed.

Expedition Everest

If Expedition Everest is your favorite attraction in Animal Kingdom, then you are probably an adrenaline junkie. You live on the edge and thrive on danger, and if you were in a car that all of sudden went backward down hill and swerved to dodge an attack from a giant Yeti, you’d be having the time of your life. You love to travel to far off places, but only if you can go somewhere exotic and encounter some dangerous creatures along the way.

It’s Tough To Be a Bug

It’s Tough To Be a Bug is one of the first attractions to open in Animal Kingdom. It is located underneath the centerpiece of the park, the Tree of Life, and is a show that features Flik from A Bug’s Life. The show takes placed in an underground theater hidden beneath the roots of the Tree of Life.

If you can’t leave the park without see It’s Tough To Be a Bug, then you might be someone who notices the little things in everyday life. This means that you also get the most out of the Disney Parks. You catch all the details that Imagineers hide in every inch of the parks and probably know where all the Hidden Mickeys are. You also don’t mind looking below the surface to find out more about something, even if there is a beautiful and intriguing exterior.

Na’vi River Journey

This is one of the slowest moving rides in Animal Kingdom.  This dark river ride takes us through the forests of Pandora and shows us some of the smaller creatures who run through the forest.

Nav’i River Journey

If this is your favorite, you like to take things slow and admire the world around you. You casually float through life and take things as they come. You’re not fazed by small blue space monkeys running over you. You also are in touch with the natural world around you.

Kali River Rapids

If you ride this attraction, you will get wet and will probably need some dry shoes and socks. If this is your favorite ride in Animal Kingdom then you already know this because you are someone who always prepares.

You have a backpack with you at all times with spare socks, sunscreen, an umbrella, grappling hook, scuba tank, snowshoes, shark repellent, and a granola bar. You don’t shy away from adventure, but you always make sure you are prepared for that adventure.

Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama

Chester & Hester opened their little roadside dinosaur theme park, and the two main attractions are Primeval Whirl and Triceratops Spin. For some it isn’t the two attractions that is the main draw to DinoLand USA, but the games that catch everyone’s attention.

If the carnival games are your favorite part of Animal Kingdom then you are a kid at heart. We know, that isn’t a big surprise since it’s Disney World. But if you can’t pass up the opportunity to take home a neon plush dinosaur then you are the ultimate kid trapped in an adult body. You love playing games and having a competition (and winning). Embrace that side and proudly collect your neon dinosaur trophies.

Finding Nemo the Musical

First we just want to say that if you don’t cry at least once during the Finding Nemo the Musical you are dead inside. It has all the show stopping numbers and heart of a full length Broadway musical packed into an easily digestible 40 minute wonder. And best of all, there are giant fish and turtle.

If this is your favorite, it means you aren’t in Disney World for the thrill rides; you’re there for the magic and wonder. You like to be dazzled, want to be entertained, and like a moving show that will make you feel. You are in touch with your emotions and not ashamed to show it.

Festival of the Lion King

This long running show in Animal Kingdom is a fun Broadway-style show that has moving sets, acrobats, dancers, and giant musical numbers. A few of the numbers involve audience participation.

If this is the reason you go to Animal Kingdom, you probably love being a part of a team and working towards a common goal. You also appreciate people with great skill in their fields. You love the idea of someone honing their craft and sharing it with the world, whether it’s acrobats or singers or dancers.

  1. I loved Flights of Wonder. It was all about the birds. It’s replacement is a huge let down. Please Disney, can you ditch the fur characters and the pointless dancer?

    1. Totally agree with you. We were very disappointed with FoW. The characters just seemed like a distraction and really seemed to interrupt the flow of the show. It would be so much better with just the birds and their handlers.

    2. Absolutely. 2 of my favorite things were FoW and the Dug and Russell meet and greet. Put them together and this is a huge disappointment.
