NEWS! How Lyft’s New Guidelines May Change Your Next Minnie Van Ride in Disney World

As Disney World begins to reopen, the theme parks and resort at large are limiting multiple experiences in the initial phase as a health and safety precaution.

For instance, every hotel may not be open at first, some entertainment will be halted, and transportation will change.  As an example, Minnie Vans will not be in operation right away either.

Lyft has updated its ride-sharing platform with new procedures, and that means Disney World’s Minnie Vans will have to make a few changes when they resume service. Since Disney and Lyft work directly together to provide access to Minnie Vans through the Lyft app, Lyft’s health and safety procedures will apply to this type of ride.

Before even getting in the car, passengers are asked to stay home if they are feeling sick. Whenever passengers do get in a Lyft-approved vehicle, they are asked to wear face coverings at all times. Passengers should sanitize their hands before touching anything and avoid leaving trash in the car.

As a distancing measure during the ride, passengers should sit in the backseat of the car. If possible, the windows should be kept open to increase the amount of airflow in the car during the ride.
