NBA at Walt Disney World Timeline: When Will the Season Resume, and How Does Monday Night Football Factor into It?

Now that it’s official that the NBA will play out its 2019-2020 season at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports, players, coaches, and the League are ironing out the details. These include the season’s restart date and potential end date.

According to reports from ESPN NBA’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the “full training camp schedule… [includes] July 9-29 in Orlando” with “three intersquad scrimmages.” The season officially kicks off on July 30.

Because this season will end, as they always do, with Playoffs, the end date for the teams’ time in the World is a little up in the air. If the championship comes down to a game seven, the season will end on either October 12 or October 13. The discrepancy? Oddly, it’s Monday Night Football. Initially, the NBA planned to play a hypothetical game seven on Monday, October 12. But to preserve that night for MNF, the final game may be moved to the 13th instead.
