New for 2017: the 10K and half marathon will start on Floridian Way and finish at Epcot. In the Inaugural event those races started at Epcot and finished at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Kessel Run Challenge medal will be awarded to those who complete both the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Light Side in California and the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side in Florida. |

Sept. 1 - 4 | The Landing : Disney Springs | 6th Annual Great Irish Hooley Celebrating Irish song, dance, food and drink, the Great Irish Hooley kicks off performances beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, and continues each day and night through late Monday and into the wee hours. This year's Hooley entertainment headliners include: Elevation, a U2 tribute act; Lisa Canny Band; and Gary O'Meara Band, with a traditional Irish banjo player. In addition, the Raglan Road Irish Dancers and champion Irish dancer Ciaran Keating, Raglan Road's show choreographer, will host an entertaining event that traces the origins of Irish dance from earliest jigs and reels through contemporary times. It will consist of Disney presentations, including rare and never-before-seen photos, as well as first-hand accounts of what life was like in yesterday's Future World. Prizes will be raffled, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
