Tips for Disney Parks & Cruise Lines
We happened to go to Typhoon Lagoon on our first day and they use a smaller Photopass card with a springy bracelet. It was great, I wore my Photopass to all of the parks and never had any problem finding it when it was time to have the card scanned. - Joy Palmer

Disney's Hollywood Studios - My family and I rode Toy Story Mania on May 23. We waited about 40 minutes, but of course there were many huge models of toys to look at which helped the time go by. The actual ride was very enjoyable, although with there were frequent stops along the way. There were no Fastpasses that day, as I am assuming there might not be until the grand opening. I think the following bit of info might be helpful to those with infants. There can be no children sitting on laps! - Kerry

For those who hate using all of those plastic bags that you get every time you go to buy another souvenir at the gift shops, Disney is now selling a reusable option. For $5.95, reusable tote bags (that come in a variety of colors) are now an option. I saw them being sold at multiple parks and at Disney Springs. These tote bags come in a small pouch with a clip attached for when the bag isn't in use. It's easy to keep with you, and it's a way to reduce your plastic waste. Go Disney! - Jennifer B

I recently travelled through Orlando Airport (MCO) and was surprised to find that they do not sell gum at the airport shops. A shop attendant stated that they are not allowed to sell it as it is to hard to clean up off the ground and the carpet. If you like to chew gum when flying or if you have little ones that need it before they fly, you might want to pick up some gum before you arrrive for your flight. - Trevor Hanko

In a previous tip, someone suggested an umbrella stroller as something to pick up at Wal-Mart or the like to use during the trip, and then give it to someone as you're leaving. Well, my wife and I have expanded on this idea, because many items can't be carried on a plane with the TSA issues associated with them. So, we head to Target, which is right near Walt Disney World, and we purchase sunscreen, hairspray, and many other items. As we're leaving, we offer all of these items to a family just arriving. Just last week we did this as we were leaving the Saratoga Springs Resort and the family indicated it would be saving them a trip to the store. By the way, the sunscreen is easy to give away at the pool. - Brian Allen
If you don't mind doing laundry while on vacation, here's a tip. I bring along two pillow cases for dirty laundry -- One for cold water items and one for hot water items. Each night the dirty clothes go in one of those pillow cases. When it's time for laundry, no sorting is necessary and the pillow cases go right in the wash with the clothes. An added benefit is that it helps keep our room a lot neater, too. - Danyelle Letendre
Just prior to leaving for a trip to the World, I needed to have a liquid prescription filled. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to take the large size bottle in my carry-on, I asked my pharmacy to put part of the medicine in a smaller TSA-approved bottle. They did, including making another pharmacy label. I will be able to have the smaller bottle with me and the larger I can check. And if my luggage does happen to get lost I have enough in my carry-on until the luggage is found. - Laura

Consider putting the kids in their pajamas before returning to the parks for the evening. That way when you get back to your room they can just get into bed! Less work for Mom and Dad and it makes for an easy transition to bed for the tired little ones! - Diane
Since dresser drawers are few in the rooms, bring along one of those hanging closet organizers for each child with at least seven slots. You can place your child's shorts, t-shirts, socks, underwear, etc. in the cubes thus saving on drawer space. - Barbara D.
