I would seriously rather go to any boring chain restaurant, or ride Its a Small World for 8 hours straight than ever step foot in this dumpster fire again. The only, and I mean only, good thing about this restaurant is the “elevator.” The service is the worst I have ever experienced at Disney. The food very well may be the worst on property. Do yourself a favor and have a Mickey Pretzel before your reservation because you will leave hungry. The food is nothing more than cafeteria food on a nicer plate with a $40 price tag. For a restaurant with hard to get reservations it’s by far the biggest let down on property. I will never understand Disneys lack of consistency in food quality.

Pros:

Elevator

Cons:

Service and Food

Our party of 4 had lunch here in December 2025. Friends had told us not to waste our time, but since it was a new experience we hadn’t done, we wanted to judge for ourselves. Our server seemed bored. Calamari appetizer was fried very limp, bit crispy at all. We all got steak and it tasted and looked like the cheapest cut served at a cheap diner. Dessert wasn’t great either. My husband joked that I needed another drink - not meaning it, but the server brought another. Not his fault but he should have asked if it was serious before bringing another drink that cost $15. Understand it’s on Disney property, however, it is not a Disney restaurant. Don’t waste your time. It’s boring because it doesn’t seem in any way realistic. Food is terrible.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Food, atmosphere - it’s just bad.

We had a great experience here, the food was really good and our server was amazing. The atmosphere is really fun and cool but its definitely not worth the high price tag. Overall I would recommend.

Great atmosphere. Great views. Good Food. Had the steak and it was great. Expensive - yes. But you are paying for the atmosphere also. Our waitress, Alex, was wondefrful. We had a party of ten for lunch. Sonce we only go to Disney World once every 2 - 3 years, we will try to go there, but it is not a one and done for us.

Pros:

Views. Astronaut dog. Space construction crews.. Elevator

Cons:

Price

I’ve wanted to eat at Space 220 since it was announced, so I was thrilled to get a reservation for 5 at dinner mid November.
Everyone thought the elevator was a fun way to get into the restaurant. The atmosphere was what I expected. At first they sat us at a very awkward table where we were seated in a row. We had a great view of the windows but we couldn’t talk to each other. We asked the seater if we could have some chairs for the other side of the table so we could see each other and talk. He actually argued with us, telling us it was like this for the views. I’m all for the views but I’d rather talk to my family about their day. After about 15 minutes a lady came by to take us to a different table which was much better.
The food was ok. I had the cauliflower starter, short rib with cheese grits , the Sunspot drink & the Sol chocolate dessert. The fried Buffalo cauliflower was very good, lightly spicy with a nice dusting of blue cheese. The short rib was also very good, much better than what I had at Be Our Guest. The Sunspot margarita was good, sweet with a slight kick. And the chocolate dessert was good. Most everyone else had the filet. While the filet was tender and had ok flavor it just wasn’t an $80 steak.
Our waitress was fine but the service was slow. Overall, the food and service just wasn’t worth the price we paid. I’m glad we went but I don’t feel the need to go back any time soon

Pros:

Fun atmosphere Astronaut dog

Cons:

Average quality of food for a very expensive price

My husband and I dined at Space 220 last week 6/13/2024. I think it is safe to say that things have changed. We were seated along the back wall. We had no better a view than the view from the bar area. Our waiter was not attentive and seemed to truly not give a single shit about us. This was magnified by the amount of attention he gave to his other tables around us. The appetizers we ordered were fine. We had the beef carpaccio and shrimp tacos. The beef should have had a sauce and instead it was literally just mayonnaise. The taco shell was nice but the shrimp were not quality. They were the very small cheap shrimp like you find at any grocery store in the country. I had a cocktail and my husband had the space draft beer. The beer was very bad, even by craft beer standards. He talked about it with the waiter and a manager and no solution was offered. On to the mains. I had the steak salad as it was 98 degrees outside and I just could not eat anything heavy. Boy was that a mistake. My \"steak\" was cooked so long that it took another form. It was dry and rock hard. The sad bits of iceberg lettuce and four pieces of tomato did not make up for the steak rocks. Although maybe they were moon rocks, sticking with the theme and all. I digress, my salad was horrid. My husband got the steak frites. His steak was edible, but it was also overcooked. The fries that came with the steak were pathetic. Think of a sad lonely version of McDs fries and you'll be close to these. This was again discussed with our waiter and a manager. At the end of the meal our waiter said he would \"take care of us\" and came back with a 15% discount. While that was nice, sort of, it in no way made our experience better. I would give it a 1/10 and that's just because by cocktail was cute. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME IN THE DINING ROOM. Go to the bar. We have actually had several wonderful experiences at the bar.

Pros:

Ride into Space

Cons:

Where else can you get views like this???

Pros:

Awesome experience!! From the elevator ride "up", so the views of Earth out the windows, this place is just so cool. I understand why some people consider this place a one and done kinda place, we love it and try and go every trip.....if we can get in that is. I recommend the lounge. Have a snack or two and a drink, enjoy the experience, and continue on with your day.

Cons:

Difficult to get a reservation. The portions are rather small, but a couple appetizers should get the job done!

Had lunch here, and for four people, it was an expensive lunch. Food was actually really good, and there were some decent options, even for picky eaters. But go here for the experience. One and done!

Pros:

Very cool atmosphere, food is good

Cons:

Fixed price, and not cheap

I am a local to Disney World and I have never gotten to eat here yet. But an last minute reservation opened up and I snagged it while my son who would not really enjoy the meal was in school. So, I showed up a little early and didn't wait very long at all. Was sent up and sat down right next to a window. Which was awesome and very rarely type of thing to happen to me. But as it was great having my own side of a window and space. The glare was very bad and took some away from the whole experience. I got the Duck Confit and it was amazing. Now I love duck and rarely ever have it but one of the best 'Lift Off' (appetizer) I have ever had. Shouldn't be an App but should be a meal was just amazing. Then for the main course I got their 'Gemini Burger' which was alright but has good flavor but it relies to much on the Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli to give it flavor. The Bacon they use is a thick very flavorful cut. Overall it was good but not worth the price tag to eat here but the Duck that I had was. I would go back up there again just for the duck.
The restaurant is very heavily and well themed. It does take quite a bit of time to get in and have your party called to go up in the elevator to go to Space. The time just to get to space was probably around a minute or so. So not very long. But the whole experience and I was a long and I ordered a cocktail: Black Hoe Fashioned it is their take on an Old Fashion. Not bad but definitely not the best Old Fashion I have ever had. But they did have just one large ice cube and it is space themed as well. Then I had one of their beers on tap which was fine. When you shine light into it; it sparkles which was pretty cool.
Overall, it is a great experience and the food is very good. Will be back again another time.

Pros:

Great atmosphere, food is delicious.

Cons:

Very hard reservation to get, expensive.

We were truly excited to try out Space 220 and made reservations as soon as we were able.

The theming was well done with the space elevator and the windows looking down on Earth.

One of my companions had the Neptune Tartare which was okay, but not outstanding. My other companion had the Centauri Caesar salad and it was fine.

After going over my allergies, we decided it was best for me to swap the starter for a dessert and to just order the macaroni from the kids menu (paying the adult price). This is when the server started to address me as if I was a child. She did not address my companions in the same manner or any other adult we saw her interact with, for that matter.

My macaroni and cheese was good, but definitely reminded me strongly of Kraft Deluxe.

One of my companions ordered the Steak and Fries. They enjoyed it immensely. The steak was cooked to their specifications exactly and their fries were delightful.

My other companion ordered the Space Pad \\'Thai\\' and barely touched it. It was an overcooked mess.

I finished my meal with chocolate gelato. I have honestly had much better gelato elsewhere. Even the store bought Talenti was better than this.

Pros:

Cool concept. Consistent theme. Well cooked steak.

Cons:

Expensive. Food not always worth it. Service can be slow.
