Had lunch here, and for four people, it was an expensive lunch. Food was actually really good, and there were some decent options, even for picky eaters. But go here for the experience. One and done!

Pros:

Very cool atmosphere, food is good

Cons:

Fixed price, and not cheap

I am a local to Disney World and I have never gotten to eat here yet. But an last minute reservation opened up and I snagged it while my son who would not really enjoy the meal was in school. So, I showed up a little early and didn't wait very long at all. Was sent up and sat down right next to a window. Which was awesome and very rarely type of thing to happen to me. But as it was great having my own side of a window and space. The glare was very bad and took some away from the whole experience. I got the Duck Confit and it was amazing. Now I love duck and rarely ever have it but one of the best 'Lift Off' (appetizer) I have ever had. Shouldn't be an App but should be a meal was just amazing. Then for the main course I got their 'Gemini Burger' which was alright but has good flavor but it relies to much on the Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli to give it flavor. The Bacon they use is a thick very flavorful cut. Overall it was good but not worth the price tag to eat here but the Duck that I had was. I would go back up there again just for the duck.
The restaurant is very heavily and well themed. It does take quite a bit of time to get in and have your party called to go up in the elevator to go to Space. The time just to get to space was probably around a minute or so. So not very long. But the whole experience and I was a long and I ordered a cocktail: Black Hoe Fashioned it is their take on an Old Fashion. Not bad but definitely not the best Old Fashion I have ever had. But they did have just one large ice cube and it is space themed as well. Then I had one of their beers on tap which was fine. When you shine light into it; it sparkles which was pretty cool.
Overall, it is a great experience and the food is very good. Will be back again another time.

Pros:

Great atmosphere, food is delicious.

Cons:

Very hard reservation to get, expensive.

We were truly excited to try out Space 220 and made reservations as soon as we were able.

The theming was well done with the space elevator and the windows looking down on Earth.

One of my companions had the Neptune Tartare which was okay, but not outstanding. My other companion had the Centauri Caesar salad and it was fine.

After going over my allergies, we decided it was best for me to swap the starter for a dessert and to just order the macaroni from the kids menu (paying the adult price). This is when the server started to address me as if I was a child. She did not address my companions in the same manner or any other adult we saw her interact with, for that matter.

My macaroni and cheese was good, but definitely reminded me strongly of Kraft Deluxe.

One of my companions ordered the Steak and Fries. They enjoyed it immensely. The steak was cooked to their specifications exactly and their fries were delightful.

My other companion ordered the Space Pad \\'Thai\\' and barely touched it. It was an overcooked mess.

I finished my meal with chocolate gelato. I have honestly had much better gelato elsewhere. Even the store bought Talenti was better than this.

Pros:

Cool concept. Consistent theme. Well cooked steak.

Cons:

Expensive. Food not always worth it. Service can be slow.

Initial entry of walkway into exterior of location, we walked on painted plywood floors, real cheesy theming...Once in the minimal themed elevator, you get a simulated ride up into space which was just ok nothing spectacular or even entertaining by today's standards. Upon entering the very small lounge/dining area with again minimum or next to no theming, so you really don't feel immersed into the space environment. The view through the simulated windows where very very limited and just the earth, a few floating astronauts, a space shuttle, all which were on a loop and somewhat pathetic, dated and not very convincing. Of course, the menu was way way way overpriced but that is the norm for Disney to over price and monetize everything and diminish the quality and quantity of everything including but not limited to the so-called themed environments to the food, drinks, and of course rides and shows...Don't waste your time or money. We did not have a reservation, just requested the bar/lounge which has around 8-10? stools for sitting and ordering. Ordered a few drinks and some way too chewy calamari, cost exceeded $100. Friendly Bartenders.

Pros:

Airconditioned, and a relief from the Fireball in the sky!

Cons:

Everything as stated in review, waaaaay overpriced, under themed, so underwhelming of an experience as consistently occurs at Disney parks these days.

This was our first time at Space 220. We were able to get a reservation and thought we'd give it a try. We decided on the lunch reservation. We were taken in in a very timely manner and everyone was so nice checking us in as well as seating us. Our waitress was very sweet and she gave us a lot of information about the restaurant and what we would be seeing "fly by" the space window. The food was delicious. We both had the Space Greens (salad) and it was a huge salad and very tasty. Enjoyed it. Our main course was good - husband had the steak and it was delicious. I had the chicken and the potato Au gratin. They were very good as well. I had no complaints about our selections. It was plenty of food. Granted, even at lunch it was an expensive meal, so I was happy that we did enjoy what we got.
The "elevator" ride coming in and leaving was so cute and neat. Just a creative added thing to the restaurant theme. The scenery and things that are seen in the space window are fun to watch for. Again, our waitress had told us to be on the lookout for certain things that we could expect to see out the window and that was helpful because we definitely wanted to see the things she mentioned.
Overall we enjoyed the experience and we were not sorry we had spent the time and money to go there. I'm not sure it is a thing that would need to be done repeatedly, but I wouldn't be against going again. It was definitely a different experience and that was a good thing to us.

Pros:

unique experience

Cons:

expensive

We had to experience Space 2w0 after hearing all the rave about it. We waited and a spot opened for dinner and we took it. We originally had plans for Coral Reef. Shouldve stuck with it. The Atmosphere was a great experience. It peaked early. The elevator ride was neat. And the Earth backdrop was cool. However, the food plummited this review. EXPENSIVE, which is not an issue for good dining. This was not. The ceaser salad was fine. Had filet minion. Cooked perfectly. However, had no flavor. Bland as an unsalted cracker. Then the chocolate cheesecake was AWFUL. One and done for us.

Pros:

Experience. Atmosphere.

Cons:

Food was less than subpar. Too expensive for such poor dining.

Space 220 is a lovely restaurant. The only problem is that the reservations are insanely hard to get. I'd recommend using mouse watcher to get a reservation. Other than that, it's very fun. The space details are very fun, an theres even a creepy sound in the bathroom. Way to pay attention to detail. The food is good, but the price takes it away. $65 per person? Crazy. The atmosphere is amazing, and its very nice. Overall, it's a lovely restaurant, and you should make time to go here.

Pros:

fun atmosphere, decent food, nice staff, and good location

Cons:

super hard reservation to get, expensive

worth it for the experience. Nice views from the Lounge, which is just more centrally located tables w seats (unless you want to just sit at the bar). Food ok, mediocre, nothing to rave about. Elevator ride fun.

Pros:

Friendly waitress and elevator attendant (you dont actually move, you just get in and it looks like you are riding up above Earth).

Cons:

Maitre D's not friendly, kind of standoffish, curtly directly you to wait without explanation, offputting, kind of left you feel they couldnt be bothered w you, and this is disney not some snooty high end restauraunt

Extremely high priced for below average food. Service was mediocre. Going up the elevator was cool, but it went all downhill after that. We spend a lot of money on dining when we go to DisneyWorld, but this restaurant if off our list forever.

Pros:

Elevator ride.

Cons:
