Most people think of Fantasyland when they think of Walt Disney World, if only just because of Cinderella Castle. Of course, there is way more to Fantasyland than Magic Kingdom's iconic centerpiece. With Prince Charming's Regal Carousel, Peter Pan's Flight, and It's a Small World, the area behind the castle includes must-do attractions for first-time visitors. With the additions of New Fantasyland with the thrilling Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Storybook Circus with Dumbo, families with young kids should plan to spend several hours exploring all that Fantasyland has to offer. While this land may not seem as exciting to older guests looking for more thrills, I highly suggest it to those who want a magical Disney experience.

Pros:

large land with lots of attractions rides for all ages

Cons:

older guests may find rides to be boring quick-service locations aren't the best rides in this land often have long waits

Fantasyland is what really represents the Magic Kingdom for me. It reminds me of my childhood and of all the fun our family had when my kids were little. Even though most of the rides are for smaller kids, I still love them. Plus you have the castle and what can be better than that?

Pros:

Magical. Fun family attractions. Castle

Cons:

Gets really crowded sometimes

I would definitely recommend Fantasy Land as this would be the perfect land to take your little Princess to if she wants to feel like royalty for the day! Lots and lots to do here attraction-wise as this is the core of the Magic Kingdom Park.

Pros:

Great for little kids, many conveniently located bathrooms, great for nostalgic minds alike, & attractions in this land are amazing with theming!

Cons:

Can get a bit congested with people, long lines and wait times usually long, & watch out for strollers as you're walking!

Fantasyland is a great place to come if you have little kids with you. There is also plenty to do and enjoy as an adult too. Many rides and attractions for everyone in the family to enjoy. Does tend to be the busiest land in Magic Kingdom.

Pros:

Plenty to do and see

Cons:

Busy part of the park

Fantasyland is so expansive now with the updates done over the past decade! It gives you the “stepping into a classic Disney move” feel and every attraction is retelling the story! Again, family inclusive for sure and anyone who has seen a classic Disney film will appreciate it. The attention to detail from Rapunzel’s bathroom to the rock work on the mine on Seven Dwarves Mine Train is truly careful and maintained. Disney cares to preserve the integrity of its product.

Pros:

A lot of Attractions, Storytelling, Family Inclusive

Cons:

Needs More Shade/Seating Areas

Fantasyland was my favorite as a child. It brings back so many memories and it is very nostalgic for me and my family. No matter what people say, I love It's a Small World! I love the beautiful dolls from around the world and the message that even though we're from different places, we're all part of the same world! Peter Pan's Flight also continues to be one of my favorites! Who doesn't want to fly off to Neverland in a Pirate Ship? My favorite part is flying over London! The newer rides in Fantasyland don't disappoint either! The little mermaid and Winnie the Pooh rides are so cute and must-do's for me on every trip! Let's not forget the new and awesome, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! This is a very smooth coaster that takes you through the Seven Dwarfs mine. I do wish they would update Mickey's Philharmagic. This show is great way to get out of the heat, but could use a refresh. I also think the food could be better in Fantasyland. We ate at Be Our Guest, and while it was beautiful inside, I thought the food was way overpriced and not that great. I used to love Pinocchio's Village Haus when I was little, however, my palette has expanded from chicken tenders and pizza - if you enjoy these things then it might be worth checking out. Finally, the cleanest restrooms can be found at the Tangled Toilets!

Pros:

Fun rides for the whole family

Cons:

Needs better food! Mickey's Philharmagic needs a refresh

Fantasyland is probably what people first think of when they imagine Disney World. This family-friendly land is packed with rides, entertainment and (as always) great theming! With the addition of Be Our Guest restaurant, Fantasyland finally has some good food too! Kids (and grown-up kids) will absolutely love everything this land has to offer.

Pros:

Many rides and entertainment options. Some decent food options. Great theming.

Cons:

Gets VERY busy and crowded! No thrilling rides here.

I may be biased because this is my favorite land in my favorite park, but I would dub this land quintessential Disney. It houses SO many opening day attractions, and my favorite ride - It’s a Small World - that’s right, I said it. (Now you know that song is stuck in your head). There’s so many rides packed into this land, and there’s plenty for adults, and children to experience. Disney is all about fantasy, isn’t it? I feel like I really “arrive” IN Disney when I step into Fantasyland.

Pros:

Everything. It’s magical. It’s colorful. It has the best rides. And go on It’s A Small World. Do it.

Cons:

The food isn’t THE best, but MK doesn’t have the best food in general outside of Be Our Guest. BOG does have a home here though, so I guess this con just turned into a pro. The crowds also tend to be overwhelming here, so that may be a deterrent for some.

Quintessential Disney World. Some of the best classic attractions. Some good snack options, but not great for meals.

Pros:

Disney classic, great aesthetic.

Cons:

Can get crowded and is often a choke point.
