Even though half of our beloved DinoLand U.S.A. is closed, we can’t help but take a stroll down memory lane and remember when life was beautiful.

Imagine our surprise when, while doing our daily stroll and admiring the construction walls (you can’t make us forget DinoLand, Disney!), we saw a new sign for the area taking over our dinosaurs.
Disney officially released the new logo for the Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza, and we’re kinda in love.

The font reminds us of Encanto, and to match it, there are yellow butterflies, like in the movie. Butterflies are often used to represent transformation, and we think that’s beautiful symbolism for what’s happening at Animal Kingdom.

There are construction signs with quotes from Encanto and Indiana Jones, too! We know Antonio’s animals will be represented in the new land, and it seems like he’s ready to take us on a tour of the Madrigal’s Casita!

Indiana Jones will be getting his own ride to (most likely) replace DINOSAUR, and we’ll get a whole new storyline that is different from the attraction in Disneyland.

On the construction walls, there’s also a huge picture of the Tropical Americas concept art! Okay, maybe we are fine saying goodbye to DinoLand so we can get brand-new rides and restaurants.

While we don’t have an opening date for the Tropical Americas and aren’t expecting anything for a few years or so, construction is well underway. Disney previously hinted at a 2027 opening timeline, but that could change.

In the meantime, TriceraTops Spins is completely gone! Where did our flying dinos go? Dino-Rama is also nowhere to be seen, either.

Even though the building for Chester and Hester’s still stands, there is no more signage, making our quirky gift shop a whole lot less silly.

You can still get that dino at DINOSAUR, dig in the Boneyard, and eat at Restaurantasaurus until the end of 2025, but they’re going extinct in 2026.

We’d be lying if we said tears haven’t been shed for DinoLand, but we are looking forward to the Tropical Americas coming to Animal Kingdom and bringing new attractions and experiences to our park day.
