Are you ready for some WILD Disney Park news?!
We’re here at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event covering all kinds of news such as updates on new rides, future entertainment, and more! One piece of news we’ve been waiting for is an update on the NEW Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney just delivered!
During last year’s Disney fan convention, Disney announced the retheming of DinoLand U.S.A. and since then we’ve learned that the area would be called The Tropical Americas and play host to new experiences themed to intellectual properties like Encanto and Indiana Jones. The area, according to Disney Imagineers, will also take inspiration from some of the biodiverse areas around the equator in the Western Hemisphere. However, not much else has been known…until now.
During the Saturday night Disney Experiences Showcase, Disney announced some MASSIVE updates coming to the new land — which will be called Pueblo Esperanza! And although we may not talk about Bruno, we sure do have to talk about the brand-new attraction coming to the area!
An Encanto attraction will officially be debuting in the new land, featuring the magical Madrigal family and taking place inside of their iconic Casita. The story revolves around the day Antonio receives his special gift of communicating with animals (just like in the film!), and his room completely transforms into a rainforest.
Casita has magically brought all the furniture to life, allowing guests to ride through the story that goes beyond the film. It’s sure to a magical journey and we can’t wait to experience it!
