We’re in the midst of one of Disney’s busiest and most crucial times of the year, and there’s a TON of information you need to know about!

Disneyland

D23: The Ultimate Fan Event is happening right now in Anaheim and Disney has already shared some MAJOR news about the future of its parks. Well, the news hasn’t stopped rolling in, as we just learned that a classic Disneyland attraction is about to CHANGE.

One of the first attractions you see when entering Disneyland Park on Main Street, U.S.A.Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln has been a park staple since 1965. Originally debuting at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, this attraction is most known for its lifelike President Abraham Lincoln audio-animatronic and as a fantastic spot to take a nap.

However, it looks like all that is about to change as Disney just announced Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is now going to share the Main Street Opera House with ANOTHER show.

During the Disney Experiences panel, it was announced that a new show called “Walt Disney: A Magical Life” will be rotating in the theater with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. When this show debuts in 2025, it will feature the first-ever audio-animatronic of Walt Disney himself.

“I speak for our entire team when I say there is so much pride and excitement for everyone involved in this endeavor,” Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro told the crowd. The new show will give visitors a chance to see what it might’ve been like to step inside Walt’s office.

Walt Disney: A Magical Life will debut inside the Main Street Opera House, and after its initial run, it will play in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

“Creating our first Walt figure is a huge responsibility, and we’ve brought members of the Disney family along with us for every step of the journey,” Josh continued on stage. “His great-nephew, Roy P. Disney, visited the Imagineering campus recently to see our progress. And he’s here tonight. Thank you, Roy, for helping us fulfill this dream.”
