2 Fan-Favorite Rides and a Restaurant Closed Temporarily in Disneyland

There are few unexpected things that could totally RUIN your trip to a Disney park.

Rides can go down unexpectedly, you might experience tech issues, or other complications can arise. But there is a BIG thing that you can prepare for ahead of your trip — refurbishment closures. Rides close from time to time in Disneyland and Disney World (and other Disney parks) for routine maintenance and refurbishment. If you go into your trip prepared to handle these closures, then you won’t be caught unawares! The Disneyland Monorail will be closing temporarily at some point, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closing temporarily as well. Two major attractions AND a popular restaurant recently closed temporarily in Disneyland, and now we have an update!

First up, Indiana Jones Adventure closed at Disneyland from March 8th until March 11th. The ride reopened on March 12th.

The other attraction that closed is Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride closed on March 14th, 2022, and is expected to reopen on June 30th, 2022.

Additionally, Blue Bayou Restaurant, a restaurant with a view of Pirates of the Caribbean, closed for refurbishment on April 21st, 2022. At that time, it was unknown when it would reopen.

Recently, however, we noticed that Blue Bayou has been taken off the list of Disneyland’s refurbishment calendar as of June 24th, 2022. It’s possible that the restaurant could reopen on that date but as of now there are no hours listed for June 24th on Blue Bayou’s site, nor are reservations possible.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know when Blue Bayou will be officially reopening, and we’ll let you know about any other closures we find out about. Stay tuned to AllEars for more!
