D23 took place earlier this month in Anaheim, California, and we received so many new announcements about additions and changes coming to Disney World.

It was finally confirmed that DinoLand U.S.A. will be re-themed to make way for the brand-new Tropical Americas Land named Pueblo Esperanza. This new land is being talked about quite a bit as Indiana Jones takes over DINOSAUR, and there will be a new Encanto-themed attraction and a brand-new carousel attraction. While these new additions are exciting and maybe sad for DinoLand U.S.A. fans, there is another attraction we are losing that no one seems to be talking about.
While this was previously announced at Destination D23 in 2023, it was confirmed that It’s Tough to Be a Bug! will be replaced with a brand new Zootopia show, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether,” which will be housed in the Tree of Life.

While no closing date has been given for It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, we can assume that it will happen soon, as it was announced that “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” will open at Animal Kingdom in winter 2025.

We already lost It’s Tough to Be a Bug! in Disney California Adventure when a bug’s land closed to make way for Avengers Campus, and now it will be no longer when “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” opens.

Not only are we losing the show, but we are losing a fun part of the queue’s pre-showroom.

If you have ever ventured into the Tree of Life to see It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, there is a pre-show room where you pick up your 3D glasses and wait to be seated for the next show. Within this room, there are Broadway theatre posters that people tend to look over. These posters are actually super clever and feature bug versions of Broadway shows.

Like these two bug-i-fied posters for Broadway shows “West Side Story” and “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

We also like these bug version of “My Fair Lady” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”

Would you rather see “A Cockroach Line” or “A Chorus Line?” The bugs even have thier own version of “Beauty and the Beast.”

This poster is a play on the Broadway show, “Annie.”

While we are sad to see It’s Tough to Be a Bug go, we are looking forward to the brand new “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” show. Maybe the citizens of Zootopia will be inspired by the bugs and create their own Broadway posters! Time will tell, but until then, if you want to visit this iconic Animal Kingdom attraction one last time, you better do so soon as the new show will open by winter next year.

Stay tuned to AllEars.net to stay up to date with closing dates, construction updates, and more information about the new attractions coming to Animal Kingdom and all across Disney World.
