PHOTOS: Disney World’s PeopleMover Was Moving Today — But Not How You’d Expect!

Disney has been doing some spring cleaning at Magic Kingdom in the form of lots of renovations and maintenance.

Cinderella Castle Construction Bushes

It’s starting to get hard to keep track of it all! Cinderella Castle is getting some TLC, Mad Tea Party closed for a short bit for some work, and somethings going on with Peter Pan’s Flight behind large construction walls (though the ride is still operating). This is all pretty normal for Magic Kingdom in the spring — construction tends to come and go. But, then there’s the PeopleMover…it’s not yet open, but we saw some more action on the concourse!

Today, we did our daily walk by to check on the progress (and because we want to be one of the first back on when it reopens) and noticed that a ride vehicle was moving. But, it wasn’t moving because the was back up and running — a Cast Member was pushing it.

In the past, we’ve seen the ride vehicles being tested and once even caught a glimpse of people on the ride again, but we’re still a bit away from the projected reopening date of April 4th, 2021.

More pushing!

Though we have a reopening date for PeopleMover, we’ve seen it be pushed back again and again (5 times to be exact) but we hope that we’re getting close to getting back to touring Tomorrowland soon! Stay tuned to AllEars for all the Disney World construction updates!
