A Fantasyland Attraction is Temporarily Closed at Disney World

It seems like there’s construction everywhere we turn in Disney World right now.

With the resort’s 50th Anniversary coming up this fall, and yearly maintenance taking place, there are LOTS of projects underway right now. Now, another classic Magic Kingdom is pausing its operations to undergo refurbishment.

Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland is closed beginning today.

The ride is blocked off to guests with a notice saying that they’ve run out of tea — what a dilemma!

We recently noticed that the attraction was listed on the refurbishment calendar on Disney’s website beginning today, February 22nd.

The attraction is expected to reopen on March 5th, which is when it’s no longer listed on the refurbishment calendar.

So, if you’re planning to visit Magic Kingdom anytime between now and March 5th, keep in mind that you won’t be able to go for a spin in these whimsical teacups. Disney World often makes updates to its refurbishment schedule, either shortening or extending projects, so check back with us for any changes!
