The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a beloved classic attraction in the Magic Kingdom.
Tomorrowland fans have been patiently waiting for the attraction since the Magic Kingdom reopened in July. It was originally scheduled to open with the other attractions on opening day. It remained closed for several days before landing on Disney World’s refurbishment list. The refurbishment has once again been extended to a later date.
No, you’re not experiencing déjà vu. This is the FOURTH time the PeopleMover refurbishment has been extended since July. We were expecting the attraction to start operating on January 30th, 2021.
We’ve seen the ride being tested in the last few weeks so we assumed that the opening would be on time.

Now, the closure date has been extended through February 28th, 2021.
There’s no telling whether the ride will actually open on February 28th. We’ll be sure to update you when we learn about the official opening date or if it is extended again.
