The Luna Park Pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas is going from frightening clowns to Mickey and Minnie.

Ok, that was a bizarre sentence to write. Let us explain. The Keister Coaster (water slide) at the main pool used to feature a giant clown. The clown was removed and is now being replaced by murals featuring Mickey, Minnie, and more friends enjoying a day at the BoardWalk. We were given a sneak peek at the new design a couple of days ago but the Instagram picture was soon taken down due to a spelling error.
Hey, we get it! Microsoft Word won’t always be there to catch your mistakes. Imagineer Zach Riddley has reposted the design (with the correct spelling!) and we all have a better idea as to what the new slide will look like!

Mickey and Minnie plummet down the slide and you can see that Goofy isn’t far behind. The bright sun is smiling in the background. We’ve seen this sun on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway too! The design is using the animation style that is used in the new Mickey Mouse cartoons.

Daisy Duck is lounging in the sun with a cocktail in hand. Sounds like a fabulous vacation! We’ll have to wait and see who else shows up to the pool party!

The Luna Park Pool is still open while the water slide is under construction. Guests can also visit the other open pools while staying at the BoardWalk Inn!

That’s a great slide! Whenever we stay at the boardwalk we always enjoy it. More disturbing than the clown face is his wig on either side of his face! I need a picture of a giant Mickey face, with swimmers shooting out of Mickeys big mouth instead of old Bozo the clown. Looks like that animated style of Disney characters is here to stay
