5 Important Rules to Know Before Visiting EPCOT’s France Pavilion in 2026

France has been one of EPCOT’s most popular World Showcase pavilions since the park opened over 40 years ago, and it remains so today thanks to its ambiance, food, and theming that recreates everything from the French countryside to Paris. It helps to have one of Disney World’s most popular rides, too.

However, before you find yourself declaring “Viva la France!” in 2026, there are some things you need to know before your next trip.

It’s Going to Be Crowded Around both Park Open and Park Close

Thanks to being essentially the home of the park’s International Gateway entrance and EPOCT’s Skyliner, the pavilion gets very crowded during Early Entry and rope drop, as well as close to park closing. This leads to large crowds to maneuver through, especially when trying to grab an early breakfast or coming out of a late dinner.

Be prepared to wait; even at rope drop!

You Might Want a Lightning Lane for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Five years after its 2021 opening, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – the immersive trackless dark ride based on the Pixar film – remains IMMENSELY popular. The ride is usually a lock for being one of EPCOT’s 2-3 busiest rides based on average wait time every week, and is usually in the overall Top 10 of the resort according to our data.

Believe it or not, the ride is EVEN busier in 2026 thanks to the 2D conversion that eliminated the need for 3D glasses following 2025. That’s why, if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you may want to use your Tier 1 Lightning Lane on Remy’s if you can. You can also try entering the International Gateway entrance from the EPCOT area hotels or the Skyliner and attempt to rope drop the attraction.

Impressions de France Options are Limited

The Circlevision film Impressions de France has been an EPCOT staple from the very beginning, and remains a favorite of longtime fans. However, if you want to catch it in 2026, you may have some issues. The theater that hosts the film is currently closed for refurbishment, and when it reopens, the film is generally only shown during the early morning and a brief evening window, with the theater showing the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along most of the day.

Monsieur Paul has STRICT Rules

Monsieur Paul, named for the renowned French Chef Paul Bocuse — a culinary legend who was named Best French Craftsman in 1961 and Chef of the Century in 2011 by the Culinary Institute of America, and achieved 3 Michelin stars for 53 straight years at his famous Lyon restaurant — is located above Les Chefs de France, the French Brasserie in the France Pavilion. While the restaurant is highly sought after, there are some strict rules to dining there!

Festivals are PACKED

Speaking of food, the lines at the French booths during EPCOT’s festivals – including the International Food & Wine Festival, Flower & Garden Festival, Festival of the Arts, and Festival of the Holidays – are always some of the most popular during these annual events. Now, that does make sense, as they often provide some of our BEST OF THE FEST treats!
