3 NEW Permits Filed for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Big news over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and believe it or not, we’re NOT talking about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith closing to begin its retheme.

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Don’t get us wrong, that’s certainly big news, but now there’s even more to update you on that has to do with construction in different areas of the park. Disney has now filed THREE new permits, and one of them isn’t where we were expecting!

Over in Toy Story Land, a new permit has been filed for Electrical Work to be done by the company Pro Audio Video, Inc. It’s not totally clear where this electrical work could be, as there are no walls up in this land right now, but our assumption is that it could be around the new seating area, or perhaps the new snack stand!

The other two permits are for Animation Courtyard, which is having lots of work done to turn it into The Walt Disney Studios. The first permit is for Electrical Work to be done by Pro Audio Visual, Inc. as well.

The second permit is for a different building in Animation Courtyard, but is still part of the construction going on. This permit is for Mechanical Work to be completed by Ferran Services & Contracting Inc.

All of this is very promising to us, as it means that work is continuing along at a good pace, and hopefully the updated land will hit its Summer 2026 opening timeline. We’ll be able to experience the new Magic of Disney Animation area (which will include Olaf Draws!), as well as a new Alice in Wonderland-inspired playground, a new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live show for kiddos, and so much more.
