Disney World Can’t Stop Putting Up Construction Walls, and We Have Proof

When visiting Animal Kingdom in Disney World, you might notice that there aren’t a whole lot of rides to experience. While there are some (with more on the way), a huge way to spend your time in Animal Kingdom is by seeing all the different animals around the park and on the trails.

Walls, walls, walls

There’s also a lot of construction happening in Animal Kingdom as they work on building Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas themed land where Indiana Jones and the Madrigals from Encanto will be joining the party. While exploring the animal trails recently, we came across more construction walls than we expected!

The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail has a row of walls up, covering part of the exhibit. Above the walls, you can see the climbing structure that some of the animals play on.

While we don’t think this construction is related to the huge Tropical Americas expansion, there are posters on the walls with different sayings, including “the wonders of nature are endless” and “change is good.”

We do love reading the signs

Other walls by the expansion have quotes dedicated to Encanto and Indiana Jones, with yellow butterflies on the walls, so it’s looking a little different over here.

The trail is still open from 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, and Disney hasn’t announced any official changes or renovations, so it’s possible the space just needed to be refreshed. Don’t worry, the animals have backstage areas where they can hang out in peace, away from the construction and people.

We also just saw walls being removed from around the Tree of Life due to the opening of Zootopia: Better Zoogether. This new show takes place inside the tree and uses 4D effects to take you on a journey with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps.

The walls around the previous Russell and Dug meet and greet have also been taken down so Nick and Judy can meet guests right outside the show. Russell and Dug moved to the other side of the Tree of Life, and you can find times for all the characters in the My Disney Experience app.

There they are!

We’re going to be keeping our eye on these walls to see what Disney is up to, but in the meantime, make sure you keep following AllEars for more.
