Why Is NOBODY Talking About This Epic Universe Bathroom Problem?

Epic Universe has been a hit ever since it opened on May 22nd, but we’ll be the first to admit that there definitely are still some issues that we think should be fixed sooner rather than later.

The virtual queue for The Battle at the Ministry was a BIG issue during previews for the park, but we haven’t seen it in effect since before the park officially opened. Thankfully, while wait times have been long, the regular standby line seems to have gone well, but there’s another big issue we’re surprised wasn’t thought of at all during the construction of the ride.

The queue for Battle at the Ministry is beyond incredible — you enter the Ministry by Floo powder, which is beyond magical, and then get to look at the gorgeous details throughout the line, which can hold hours worth of people.

While you’re able to bring food and drinks into the line with you, there’s one thing missing from the ride that becomes a major issue when you’re about to be waiting 240 minutes – A BATHROOM.

That’s right — in the entire main part of this queue, there’s not one singular bathroom that you can use, and that’s a BIG deal when you’re waiting 2+ hours. The only bathroom is located is almost directly by the family room and the elevators where you peel off and go up the stairs, but that’s it. And that’s near the END of the queue!

Considering this ride is as popular as it is, and also sees so many delays, we think it would have been a good idea to put another bathroom in the main part of the queue, maybe about halfway through. Now, if you’re waiting with a group, you can leave the line and return, but that’s, honestly, a pain in the butt to do, and many people may think you’re attempting to skip the line when you’re just making it back to your group.

You also can chat with a Team Member if you’re having an emergency and need to exit the queue, but they can sometimes be difficult to find. We strongly suggest using the restroom ahead of time before getting in line, as well as letting a Team Member at the front of the line know if you’re concerned you may need to exit for any issues. They’ll be sure to direct you on how is best to handle the situation if/when it arises.
