Why You’ll Want to Avoid EPCOT on May 21st

From time to time, Disney World adjusts its park hours to accommodate special events.

EPCOT

This is very common during the Halloween and Christmas seasons, as Magic Kingdom closes at 6 PM for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. In January, it closed at 4 PM for a Cast Member event. Sometimes the other parks, along with Magic Kingdom, even close early for special After Hours events.

You will want to add another date to your calendars, as EPCOT is set to close early in May. Here’s what you need to know!

It can be a bummer to plan a park day only to find out that you have less time in the park due to the park closing early for an event. That is why it is so important to check the My Disney Experience app or website to check for park hours, showtimes, and ride closures before you plan out your park days.

If you are planning to visit EPCOT on May 21st, you may want to shift or adjust your plans, as the park will close at 5:30 PM for a private event.

The buyout is for SAP Saphire and ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando. There will even be a special performance by Zac Brown Band.

As another reminder, EPCOT will adjust park hours on April 6th, as it is set to open a bit later than usual at 10 AM. The park will be open for Early Theme Park Entry for guests staying at a Disney World resort at 9:30 AM.
