Well, This Is Odd. We NEVER See THIS Happen With the Virtual Queue in Magic Kingdom!

Ride popularity seems to come and go in Disney World, although some rides have remained popular for a long time (Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage, for example).

However, some rides’ popularity has more to do with the weather than anything, and we think we’re seeing a prime example of that with one new Magic Kingdom ride and its virtual queue. We’re talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which has a virtual queue that seems to be open pretty much all day right now.

We were visiting Magic Kingdom over the weekend and noticed that the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was available for much longer than usual. Typically, spots in the virtual queue fill up quickly, but even as late as 4:30PM, you could still sign up for the virtual queue.

However, we think we know why. Here’s the thing: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a water ride, and you could get wet while riding it. Now, the weather in Disney World has been a bit on the chillier side, recently with highs in the lower 60s and lows in the low 50s with “realfeel” temperatures in the 40s. Who wants to get wet in weather like that?

You might be surprised that it can get that cold in Disney World, but January is usually one of the colder months in Orlando. The cold weather is likely to continue, too. The current forecast for Orlando has a low of 49 degrees and a high of just 62 degrees. Brr!

If you will be visiting Disney World this time of year, we always recommend dressing in layers because it can warm up during the day. Otherwise, you might find yourself surprised and end up buying an expensive sweatshirt or jacket in the parks just to stay warm.
